James Luxon

James is a PhD student in the Resonant Optics Group at the University of Otago, where he completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in 2025. His research focuses on the electro-optic conversion of millimetre-wave signals into the optical domain using whispering gallery mode resonators, with the goal of realising a sensitive, room-temperature millimetre-wave receiver.
